For decades, visitors have flocked to Orange County landmarks like West Point and Storm King Art Center. Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, one of the state’s biggest tourism attractions, accounts for an estimated 13 million visitors to Orange County each year. Combined with future projects, including the LEGOLAND® New York theme park and resort, an additional seven million visitors are expected in the region following its expected 2021 opening.
To accommodate this growth, and to give visitors a one-stop-shop for all fun things Orange County, the Tourism Department has opened a Welcome Center in the county seat. The Welcome Center serves as a resource for visitors which will include information on nearby attractions, lodging, and dining, craft beverage as well as a friendly team available during operating hours to answer questions from visitors about the county’s many points of interest. The Welcome Center is also a location where visitors and residents alike can pick up a copy of the fun, free, totally revamped, Orange County Travel Guide.
