Support local farms and markets during this unusual time of social distancing.
ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (May 7, 2020) – The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way many of us live and do business. The aggressive virus’s effects on local businesses has been severe, especially for our local farmers. Still, many remain open for groceries, produce, and other essential items. By shopping local, your support ensures businesses remain open and can continue serving their communities long after this virus has left.
“Orange County’s farming and agricultural roots are deep and a proud staple of our local culture. The coronavirus has had devastating effects on our residents and businesses, which is why it’s more important than ever to support our local farmers,” said Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana. “Many of us visit these local farms for a memorable pumpkin or apple picking experience or to find the perfect Christmas tree, but I encourage you to view the full list of offerings at your local farms and support them to the extent that you can.”
