Adventurers of all ages can explore the area’s ski slopes, ice rinks, riding stables, hiking, and biking trails that offer heart-pumping fun and incredible views. 

“Sometimes the slopes are freshly coated thanks to Mother Nature, and other times, she needs a little help. But one thing is for sure, families can enjoy endless opportunities for outdoor fun at ski resorts and parks right here in Orange County,” said Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana. “Spend the day enjoying all that our region has to offer during the winter season. Then, warm up with a sit-down meal or grab-and-go option from one of our local farm-to-table restaurants or craft beverage locations to make the day truly unforgettable.”

Bear Mountain Ice Rink, Seven Lakes Drive, Bear Mountain: Open through early March, this outdoor rink offers public and private skating sessions. bearmountainicerink.org

Juckas Stables, 1204 NY-302, Bullville: Enjoy a horseback ride among the 117 acres of trails winding through the breathtaking Orange County countryside. Novice and seasoned riders will enjoy spending time with the gentle, responsive, and well-kept horses.
